On this naturalist-led guided tour, you'll spend your morning or afternoon on one of the few remaining undeveloped coastal barrier islands in the world. Shackleford Banks is most famous for the wild ponies that roam the uninhabited island. These ponies are descendants of Spanish shipwrecks dating back over 500 years ago, and one of the few remaining isolated groups in North America. The island is also known for the incredible variety of shells that may be found including Whelks, Conchs, Scotch Bonnets, Sand Dollars, Starfish, and many more. This will surely be an experience you will never forget. Our boat has a loading and unloading ramp to help you get on and off the Island comfortably. We provide free Shell Bags! Largest boat going to Shackleford! 1st boat to the shells!
